Privacy Policy
Effective April 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Moms in Tech, LLC ("Mints," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use momsintech.com and related services (the "Service"). It is designed to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
1. What we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
Account data — when you create an account or apply for Mints+: email address, username, display name, password (stored hashed via our auth provider), profile information you choose to provide (bio, photo, location, role/title, social links).
Subscription data — for Mints+ members: subscription status, billing cadence, current period end. Payment card details are collected and stored by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Member-generated content — comments, post likes, directory opt-ins, custom profile field values, badge ownership.
Usage data — pages visited, posts viewed, perks clicked, search queries, device + browser info.
Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 6 below.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide and improve the Service;
- Authenticate you and protect your account;
- Process subscription payments and send transactional emails (welcome, payment receipts, cancellation confirmations);
- Display your profile to other authenticated members (if you opt in to the directory);
- Communicate with you about the Service, including updates and announcements;
- Comply with legal obligations;
- Detect and prevent fraud, spam, and abuse.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Third parties we share with
We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Service:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Authentication and database hosting |
| Stripe | Subscription billing and payment processing |
| Vercel | Site hosting |
| Resend | Transactional email delivery |
| Kit (formerly ConvertKit) | Marketing newsletter delivery (separate opt-in) |
| CookieYes | Cookie consent management |
Each service provider is contractually bound to use information only to provide services to us. We do not authorize them to sell your information.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect rights and safety.
4. Data retention
We retain account and profile information for as long as your account is active. Billing records are retained for 7 years to comply with tax and accounting requirements. Audit log records are retained indefinitely for security and compliance.
When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your profile, member content, and engagement data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Delete your account and associated data;
- Export your data in a portable format;
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Opt out of marketing email at any time;
- File a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Exercise these rights yourself: signed-in members can download a copy of all account data and permanently delete the account at any time.
For anything that requires our help — corrections, processing objections, regulatory questions — email privacy@momsintech.com. We will respond within 30 days.
6. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for:
- Strictly necessary — authentication, security, basic site function (cannot be disabled);
- Functional — remembering your preferences;
- Analytics — understanding aggregate usage patterns to improve the Service.
You can manage your cookie preferences via the cookie banner on first visit (powered by CookieYes) or update them anytime in the cookie settings.
We do not use advertising cookies.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact privacy@momsintech.com and we will delete it.
8. International transfers
Our infrastructure providers may store data in the United States and other jurisdictions. Where data is transferred from the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) as required by GDPR.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information: HTTPS, encrypted storage, role-based access control, audit logging, and least-privilege defaults. No system is perfectly secure; you use the Service at your own risk.
10. Updates to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy with a new effective date. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice.
