Terms of Service

Welcome to Moms in Tech ("Mints," "we," "us," "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the momsintech.com website, the Mints+ paid membership, and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are

The Service is operated by Moms in Tech, LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the United States. The Moms in Tech® name and logo are registered trademarks of Moms in Tech, LLC.

2. Eligibility

To create an account or apply for Mints+ membership, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction);
• Be capable of entering a binding agreement;
• Provide accurate, current information;
• Comply with these Terms and our Community Guidelines.

The Mints community is open to people who identify as moms (including step, adoptive, foster, those trying to conceive, or those who have lost a pregnancy or child) and who work or have worked in tech. We reserve the right to verify eligibility and to revoke membership for misrepresentation.

3. Account responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials;
• All activity that occurs under your account;
• Notifying us promptly at hiya@momsintech.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

You may not transfer or share your account.

4. Free vs paid membership

The Moms in Tech Facebook Group community is free. The Mints+ paid membership is an optional tier that unlocks additional benefits (early event access, members-only content, sponsor perks, the webinar archive, and others described on the Service from time to time).

Mints+ membership applications are reviewed by our team and may be accepted or declined at our discretion. We do not charge your payment method until your application is approved.

5. Subscription billing

If your application is approved, you will be charged the price you selected (currently published on our pricing page) on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) until you cancel. By providing a payment method, you authorize us, through our payment processor (Stripe), to charge your card or other payment method on each renewal date.

Prices may change. We will give you reasonable notice before any price change takes effect for your subscription. Existing subscribers may be eligible for grandfathered pricing as separately communicated.

6. Cancellations

You may cancel your Mints+ subscription at any time from your account page. Cancellation takes effect on the last day of your current billing period; you will continue to have access until that date and you will not be billed again.

Subscriptions are non-refundable. All payments are final, and partial-period refunds are not issued when you cancel mid-cycle.

7. Member-generated content

The Service allows you to post comments, complete a profile, and contribute other content ("Member Content"). You retain ownership of your Member Content. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, store, display, and distribute your Member Content as necessary to operate the Service.

You represent and warrant that your Member Content does not infringe any third party's rights and complies with our Community Guidelines.

We may remove, hide, or restrict Member Content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines, with or without notice.

8. Acceptable use

You may not:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes or in violation of these Terms;
• Harass, threaten, or impersonate other members;
• Use automated tools (including bots, scrapers, crawlers, and AI agents) to access, extract, copy, or download data from the Service, the member directory, or any other content provided through your account;
• Bulk download, copy, mirror, or republish the member directory or any portion of it, in any form, by any means;
• Use member data — including names, emails, photos, bios, social links, or other directory contents — to contact members for unsolicited recruiting, sales, marketing, fundraising, or other outreach unrelated to your participation in the community;
• Resell, share, transfer, or sublicense access to your Mints+ account or to Mints+ content;
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive source code or proprietary logic from the Service;
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any access control, rate limit, authentication mechanism, or other security feature of the Service;
• Upload viruses, malware, or other harmful code;
• Send unsolicited commercial messages to other members through any channel, whether technical features of the Service or contact information learned through it.

Automated access is prohibited. The member directory and member-only content are provided under a logged-in session for personal, non-commercial use by the authenticated member only. Any scraping, bulk extraction, automated indexing, or use of the data to train, fine-tune, or augment machine learning models is expressly forbidden, including by AI agents acting on a user's behalf. Violations may result in immediate termination, forfeiture of subscription fees, and legal action including but not limited to claims under applicable computer-misuse statutes (e.g., CFAA), trespass to chattels, breach of contract, and violation of state privacy laws. We reserve the right to recover all attorney's fees and costs reasonably incurred to enforce this provision.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including all design, code, content (other than Member Content), trademarks, and logos, is owned by or licensed to Moms in Tech, LLC and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use any Moms in Tech branding without our prior written permission.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines, or if we determine in good faith that your conduct poses a risk to the community or our business.

You may close your account at any time by contacting hiya@momsintech.com. Closing your account does not entitle you to a refund of any subscription fees already paid.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

Member Content does not represent the views of Moms in Tech, LLC. We are not responsible for advice, opinions, or other content posted by members.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Moms in Tech, LLC, its officers, members, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from or relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or US$100, whichever is greater.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Moms in Tech, LLC and its team from any claim, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your Member Content, or your violation of these Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Indiana, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute will be resolved in those courts.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms with a new effective date. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
